Clubs receive a Semi-annual Report (SAR) from RI in late June/early July and late December/early January every Rotary year. The SAR is sent to the secretary of record in the RI database. The SAR lists all of the club members, their contact information and in-cludes an estimate of the amount due to RI from the club, based on the number of mem-bers listed in the RI database as of June 1 and December 1.
The club secretary should review the SAR and make any necessary changes, including changes in contact information, terminations of members and addition of new members not listed. The secretary should then make what-ever adjustments are needed to the amount owed to RI and send a copy of the SAR and payment to the address that is listed below. The club secretary should also keep a copy of the adjusted SAR for the clubs records and send a copy to the district office or the district governor. The due dates for the SAR’s are 1 July and 1 January, and though they may arrive shortly after these dates, they are considered due upon receipt. Policy established by the Rotary International Board of Directors states that clubs:
1) clubs with unpaid financial obligations in excess of US$250 for over 90 days from the due date will receive a termination warning, and;
2) clubs with unpaid financial obligations in excess of US$250 for over 180 days from the due date will be terminated for non-payment (RI Code of Policies Article 9.020.2).
