Interact Leadership Seminar April 8

April 8 has been set for a first-ever gathering of high school leaders of Interact clubs in central and northern Indiana. The Interact Leadership Seminar will be held 10am-3pm at the Horizon Convention Center, Muncie, in conjunction with the joint Rotary District Conference.

Interact is Rotary International's service club for young people ages 14-18. Interact clubs are sponsored by individual Rotary clubs, which provide support and guidance, but Interact clubs are self-governing and self-supporting.

Anderson Interact Club members will serve as hosts of the event, inviting club members from the more than a dozen clubs in this region.  Club advisor, Anderson Rotarian Debbie Webb, will assist in the planning.  The Anderson Interact club is 9 years old has 40 members. Club members raise funds for both local and international projects as well as recognizing outstanding teachers as Paul Harris Fellows.

Preliminary plans for April 8 include interactive workshops, motivational speakers, exchange of ideas on service projects and fundraising. Interacters will join the Rotarians for lunch and fellowship.
