Delaware County and East Central Indiana are
blessed by people, programs and institutions that do good things. Here is
a sample from recent days:
The 17th annual "Coat A Child" program in Blackford County
found success again this year, thanks to the efforts of the Hartford
City Rotary Club and the many who donated coats. Several businesses
and community organizations served as collection centers, and Miller's
Merry Manor and Smith Cleaners again washed and dry cleaned the donated
articles.
Rotarian Doris Tyler, event chairman, said many new hats and gloves
were donated by members of Grace United Methodist Church through the
efforts of Jackie Ridgeway. These were distributed along with the coats.
"The people of Hartford City and Blackford County again responded to a
need -- and we thank you," Tyler said.
