What is Rotary Youth Exchange?
RYE is the promotion of our youth in Int'l understanding and peace by being exposed to different cultures.

Two types - Inbound and outbound exchanges

A RYE student can spend a year, or perhaps just an extended time, living with a host family in a country other than our own. He, or she, may learn a new language, learn a new way of living, and a great deal about themselves. While they are busy learning, the people they meet will be learning as well.- about country, culture, and ideas. They will be an ambassador. They will bring the world closer together by making new friends.

This year, more than 8,000 teens will see the world the best way it is seen, from the inside out.

  • Communities all over the world have much to gain from continued success of Youth Exchanges.

  • Young people mature as individuals as their concept of the world grows.

  • Young adults assume leadership roles that are shaped by what they learn during their exchange experiences.

Rotary Youth Exchanges

Long Term
Usually last for an academic year. During a stay, the student will usually live with three different families for three months each and attend High School.
